Jabderbari is one of the 57 Union Councils of Abbottabad District in the North-West Frontier Province of Pakistan.〔(Administrative Units of District Abbottabad )〕 == Location == Malikpur Janderbari It is some 25 km away from Abbottabad city towards the north-east. Subdivisions: The Union Council is subdivided into three areas Janderbari, Phalkot and Malsa, that include other settlements including Kutli Sehana Buni Gali and Upri Kutli. Malikpur (Janderbari) is the main village in UC having population of more than 15,000 people other suburbs are Malsa, Kutli & Sehana. Major cast is AWAN, whereas some Karlal are also resident in this UC. Major tribes are;''Saghwal, Jalwal, Fiqral, Langral, Bhadral, Pirwaal, Baksial etc. People: Hindko is widely spoken throughout the area, Urdu being national language also spoken and understand here. Mostly people are educated and literacy ratio is around 75% of Malikpur Janderbari village. Most popular personality of this UC is Sufi Muhammad Afsar (Late), Abdul Jabbar(Late), Muhammad Arif Malik, who served with different organizations like Prime Ministers House, United Nations, Director Procurement/Stores Pakistan Telecommunicatons Company Ltd, Etisalat UAE/Afghan, DP World Dubai UAE and Fugro Middle East(www.fugro.com) UAE as Regional Purchasing Manager for Middle East Region. Mr. Malik's wife Dr. Rahna is working in Shifa International Hospital Islamabad who has also contributed a lot to education, health and awareness. Muhammad Sarwar Awan is also another senior officer in KPK Govt. Mr. Shamaraiz Awan Birwala, Mr. Aamir Yaqoob, Asst. Director SECP, Mr. Shamim working in OGDCL are also renowned persons of Malikpur (Janderbari) Mr. Nazakat Farid working in Smec Oil & Gas Civil/Structure Dasigner Islamabad. Mr. Arshad Jabbar a journalist,Mr.Mehtab Ahmed a Surveyor in Daewoo Engineering & Construction on patrind Hydro Power Project Pakistan, Malik Akran and Gulzar Goga WAPDA union leader are also well known in this area.
